Aoi Hayami is a supporting character that is introduced in the stage play Cutie Honey Emotional. He seeks revenge on Panther Zola after she killed his grandfather Seiji Hayami who died 15 years prior of the event while fighting the Panther Claw with Honey. Just like him, he works alongside Honey as well as sends information about the Panther Claw to the team.
Described as "a slightly mischievous older brother who supports Honey from behind the scenes", he has a fun, caring, easy-going personality and helps Honey when she's feeling down or when she's in trouble. This is seen in the first stage play when Hayami shoots two armed men who target her (this is before she found out about her alter ego Cutie Honey; also served as Hayami's introduction) . Another example is when Aoi was comforting her (alongside Natsuko) when she woke up from a coma due to her overusing her powers when she first transformed into Cutie Honey. In the sequel Cutie Honey Climax, Hayami is brainwashed by Ryo Hikawa and it was Honey's warmth and kindness that freed him. At the end of each performance for both stage plays, the two dance together.
