Hey can I get a hand on the Parent Filter? This franchise is known for some of its explicit content (especially the early 21st century stuff) and I want some things done to make sure there aren't misunderstandings.
First of all, when I typed "Like the Sentai and One Piece wikis" I meant get a page that shows the variants of the name and this is it: Name Variants. I know it's not perfect but this was the best I could think of.
I think the colors you suggested would be good but include something in light blue though since that was the color of Honey's top in the manga, the New Cutey Honey OVA, and a few ads. Oh and may I suggest something that includes the Airborne Element Fixing Device in the logo or at least the heart?
Even I admitted that the times when the letters were in English they kept changing it.
The Re: series is fine since it was on the title card, but everyting else I have no idea which spelling to use. I only used the 'Cutey' spelling most of the time cuz that appeared more in places like the 90s manga and on the articles on Anime News Network.
Well, the way I see it, it should be like how Rangerwiki operates with thier spellings of names. If the title cards and merchandise spell the pronuciation in english text and the kanjii or romanization matches, it is the correct way of spelling it.
The opening title card for Re: and the DVD boxes spell it C-u-t-i-e, as does the wikipedia page and promotional material, thus it is correct.
This is considered the correct spelling of the name but IMO its like how you pronounce Kamen Rider Faiz, there are different ways of pronouncing it but most fans accept all of them as correct. (Fives, Phi's, Faz with a long a sound)
I have trouble trusting Wikipedia on spelling, but I'll consider the DVD box name. The problem right now though, is the fact that both spellings are used in official materials, but things like the Faiz names (sans 555) and naming like Ko or Kou (the O sound I mean) are fan translated.
From what I found the anime has the Cutie spelling while the manga has the Cutey spelling.
Can we not continuiously debate about this though and write the page like on the Sentai and One Piece wikis?
Fair enough. Still, we should take the style guide method into consideration to get a better idea on how to tackle this problem. As for writing the pages, what did you have in mind?
"Like the sentai and One Piece wikis" is kinda vague... format? and which page? The main page or all of them?
On a side note:
I'll have to ask Digifiend to make a logo for the wiki, just for starters.
This place needs redecorating, the police siren wallpaper looks odd on a magical girl wiki. (I want to buck the cliche of having it be pink and white, I think her costume colors of Red Yellow and Black would work.)
I see from Tokupedia that someone made a logo, but it's the wrong size to use as a wiki wordmark. As I just did with Cyborg 009, I'll have a go at doing one for here tomorrow. I've already found a better version of the Cutie Honey logo.
